Clair Reynolds Kueny

Psychological Science

 

Dr. Kueny earned a BS in Psychology and Political Science with a minor in Statistics at Truman State University in 2012. She then went on to graduate school at Saint Louis University where she earned a M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology (2014) and a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with a concentration in Quantitative Methods in Behavioral Science in 2016. While finishing her Ph.D., she was an adjunct instructor for the Psychological Science Department and taught in the Missouri S&T MS I-O program from a distance.

She joined as a full-time faculty member in the department in August 2016. Dr. Kueny became the Program Director for the Master of Science program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology in August 2020. In that program, she teaches the following graduate classes: Intro to I-O Psychology, Organizational Development & Employee Perspectives, and Ethics & Professional Responsibilities. At the undergraduate level, she has taught Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, and Personality.

Her research interests focus on reactions and interactions surrounding employee discretionary workplace behaviors, employee stress and well-being, and employee fit. Additionally, she has a special interest in working with healthcare professionals and applying I-O principals to improve healthcare professional work experiences and healthcare delivery, particularly in rural settings.
