The Innovative Smart & Additive Manufacturing (ISAM) Laboratory conducts research to develop novel smart manufacturing technologies and additive manufacturing processes, and also on the optimization and innovative applications of these and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
Laser Aided Manufacturing Process Laboratory

The Laser-Aided Manufacturing Processes (LAMP) Laboratory is a world-class powder-feed additive manufacturing (AM) laboratory. The Lab has the capabilities of AM process modeling, AM process development, hybrid AM process planning, AM process monitoring and control, and AM part characterization.

Sensor Networks and Dependable Computing

The Sensor Networks and Dependable Computing focuses on three research areas; Modeling and Analysis of Cyber-Physical Critical Infrastructures, Pervasive Computing, and Assurance and Development of Embedded Systems.
SMART Engineering

SMART Engineering has the following objectives: To construct, instrument, and monitor a smart bridge on the Missouri S&T campus as a field experience for students and as a technological demonstration, To create a World Wide Web site for the Internet which features tutorials for the component technologies, multimedia demonstrations from the course, virtual experiments from the teaching laboratory, updated results from the bridge demonstration, and links to other Internet sites related to smart advanced structures.
Wireless to Cloud Computing Laboratory

The W2C lab is designed to carry out cutting edge research in different aspects of data management (security, compression, replication, caching, query processing, aggregation, fusion) over wireless networks and cloud computing . Our focus is on scientific research to advance the state of art in these areas.
