ISC Poster Presentation

The poster presentation, funded by the Intelligent Systems Center, is held each year to offer students the opportunity to present their research results. In 2024, the guest speaker at the awards ceremony was Dr. Kamal Khayat, vice chancellor for research and innovation.

Location: Havener Center - Main Atrium

Date: Thursday, November 14, 2024

Presentation Setup: 1:30pm - 2:00 pm

Presentation Session: 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (including awards ceremony)

Dress: Business Attire

Wednesday, October 16th @11:59PM

Email your poster title, author name, and November 14th class schedule to isc@mst.edu and copy your faculty advisor.
Must be received by deadline in order to be considered for awards.

Monday, November 4th @11:59PM

Email final PDF file of poster to posters@mst.edu and isc@mst.edu and copy your faculty advisor with the email subject "ISC Poster Presentation".
Must be received by deadline in order to be considered for awards.

Any requests for demo/show-and-tell requirements (table, power outlet, etc.) must be emailed to isc@mst.edu. An easel and pushpins will be available for each poster.  Requests for demo/show-and-tell requirements are optional and are considered uncommon, however please honor the deadline.

Judge Sign-Ups

ISC faculty are invited to participate in the Poster Presentation by serving as a judge for presentations.

First Place: Ganesh Sapkota

Ganesh is a current PhD candidate in computer science whose poster presentation was titled "SafeNav: Safe Navigation using Landmark Based Localization in a GPS-denied Environment"

Second Place: Insha Yaqoob Sheikh

Insha is a PhD student in electrical engineering whose poster presentation was titled "Monocular Underwater Depth Estimation using DenseNet-UNET".

Award: $300

Third Place: Wazih Tausif

Wazih is a PhD student in mechanical engineering whose poster presentation was titled "Water Droplet Evaporation in Air: Effects of Interfacial Thermal and Mass Diffusion Resistance".
