Ming C. Leu
Director, Intelligent Systems Center
Welcome to the web site of the Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) at Missouri S&T. The ISC is a research center funded by the state of Missouri to perform basic and applied research. It consists of four emphasis areas:
1) Intelligent Manufacturing Processes and Systems
2) Integrated Control and Monitoring of Energy Systems
3) Advanced Simulation, Sensing, and Control
4) Computational Intelligence and Imbedded Systems
The first and second emphasis areas address technology needs and issues toward the development of intelligent systems for manufacturing and power applications. The third and fourth emphasis areas perform research and development of generic methods and tools (both software and hardware) that can be applied to a wide variety of real-world problems.
The Center currently consists of the Director, four Senior Investigators, twenty-one Investigators, eight Affiliated Members, and about thirty graduate students funded by the center. It has three full-time staff to support the center activities. The Center is affiliated with many research laboratories distributed across campus.
We are highly capable of working with government agencies and industrial companies to address their technology needs and solve their technical problems. If your organization is interested in collaborating with the Intelligent Systems Center after browsing our web site, please contact my assistant Debbie Sickler or me. If you are interested in a specific project or relevant methods/techniques/tools, please contact the Principal Investigator of that project directly.
Sincerely,
Ming Leu
